MindLight Academy is an online 14-month didactic and clinical program in Neurodiagnostic
Technology (NDT). Once completed, students will be adept in the foundational knowledge
and clinical components of electroencephalography (EEG).
MindLight Academy is an approved EEG ABRET® Recognized Program.
Neurodiagnostics help doctors determine whether the brain, spinal cord, and/or peripheral nervous system are functioning properly. The nervous system relies on tiny electrical signals that travel through the central and peripheral nervous systems, carrying instructions from the brain to the rest of the body and also carrying sensory information from the body back to the brain.

All graduates from MindLight Academy's EEG program are board-eligible for the R. EEG T. exam through ABRET.
What does an Neurodiagnostic professional do?
Neurodiagnostic technologists perform many tests that diagnose problems with the brain and nervous system, as well as sleep disorders. They use state-of-the-art digital equipment to record electrical patterns throughout the brain and nervous system, which results in valuable data that the doctor needs to diagnose and treat the patient. The data gathered from these tests can help diagnose conditions like epilepsy, seizure disorders, strokes, and degenerative brain disease, among others.

When do classes start?
The EEG program starts multiple times throughout the year. Specific start dates can vary, so please contact us for the next available cohort.
International Opportunities
One of the standout features of our program is the opportunity to gain clinical experience at partner sites around the world. Through our network of esteemed clinical partners, you will have a change to participate in cases where neurodiagnostics, particularly EEG, is being utilized. This will provide you with diverse exposure to a variety of surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal patient outcomes.

Program Eligibility
Applicants must hold a high school diploma, however, an associate degree is preferred. Your degree may be in any field of study, however, health science is preferred.
Applicants holding a current neurodiagnostic credential will also be considered.
All applicants must complete the following:

- Copy of diploma and/or neurodiagnostic certification
